"CPR at School" Course

Secondary school girls have been learning CPR

Several teachers from the center attended a course on CPR a few weeks ago so that they could later teach it to our students. This is part of the "RCP a l'escola" initiative, promoted by SAMU 061 with the help of the educational community.

They have been learning about different situations that can occur, as well as various health techniques and maneuvers to apply to each of them, in order to know how to react to a vital emergency situation.

"Every day, on average, there are two episodes of cardiorespiratory arrest in the Balearic Islands. The immediate and correct execution of cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers in such a situation can be decisive for the survival of those who suffer from it and for a faster recovery with fewer rehabilitation needs and with fewer sequelae in affected patients."-Juan Riera Roca

Now our students will be able to promote this initiative, helping those who find themselves in life-threatening situations and teaching their families what they have learned.
